Steering - Topic Index

Steering and front suspension components in the earliest 356 models were comprised of standard Volkswagen Type 1 parts. The 356 T1-A models were fitted with updated tie-rods, steering gear alignment pins, anti-sway bars, and hydraulic steering dampers.  The 356 T2-A model introduced the much improved ZF single-peg steering gear that continued in use throughout production of the 356 models.
