Click on each photo for an enhanced view. Just from 40+ years of storage from the late Frank Atkinson collection. Running 1965 "Export Model" 912 engine for your 1965 912 (or other). Serviced and run on the test stand. Features original air cleaners. (The late Frank Atkinson owned the first Porsche Salvage Yard in California dating back to 1954. Mr. Atkinson's collection of parts included both Porsche cars and mechanical parts. He intended many of his Porsche power plants to run vehicles on his almond farm as well as on his family compound. It appears this Porsche engine was one of those being converted to use in a 6-volt car, possibly the early Glaser Cabriolet featured in the 356 Registry magazine a few issues ago. Note the incorrect crankshaft pulley and the early Bursch extractor exhaust. Nevertheless, the engine was returned to 12-volt prior to running on the test stand.) No other history of the engine is known. Perfect for a preserved 912 or have it restored for your concourse car. Sold "as is". A video of the engine running can be provided if one wants to hear it run. Prefer local pickup in Campbell or Mountain View, California. If shipped, buyer pays shipping cost on top of a $40 crating cost, insurance, and PayPal fee. Possible delivery to the general Orange County (Los Angeles) area on or about June 20th.
