Cab Top

I can not figure out how to release the rear latches on my 1961 Cab hard
top.No it is not my poor memory, I just purchased the car. The two latches
appear to be like a throttle linkage with a one inch square part on top.
Before I start tugging in the wrong place I thought some of the experts
online would kindly give me advise. Also I purchased what I hope (how do I
determine?) is the proper soft top for the "Red Baron" unfortunately the
front latches are missing....does anyone know where I could find the right
hardware? Thank you, Dudley 61 Cab

The shiny cap parts on the hard top linkage just pop off: held on by
indentations. Unscrew the ball joint links to relieve tension then pop the
joint off the ball just like carb linkage.

Happened to me also. Diagnosed as a misaligned center clamp. The clamp must
be fully closed and flat. Corrected by aligning the clamp with much effort
and spacers. Later replaced the wooden bow and works great. Mark Roth
