1964 356 SC Chassis #130316 Light Ivory over Black ONLY 8,000km on engine #820074 - $82,000

For Sale by Jeremy Eley - Posted in 356 Cars

Originally Ruby Red, this June '64 SC was repainted Light Ivory and restored to Driver+ standards back in the early '90s. The engine, 3x case #668, was rebuilt about 8,000km ago, and the car drives out great. With a little attention given to the adjustment of the throttle pedal and clutch, it would perform even better. The Interior has been kept mostly original, but was restored with authentic headliner and horsehair padding, and recovered in black leather (original color). The carpet appear original and only shows one area of burn through, near where your foot would rub getting in/out. The dash still shows Ruby Red under the black vinyl it was covered with, but you can only see that at inside the glove box. All accessories work with the exception of the radio and speedo. Underneath you will find NO RUST. There are however, a couple pinky nail sized blisters forming along the lower edge of the body. Very small, and near unnoticeable, but of course I had to mention them. The suspension could use some attention, as I have noticed the driver side rear being slow to level out after a drive. Usually ends up about an inch lower, and levels out after a few hours. The car comes with a large stack of paperwork, outlining most but not all of the restorative process. The SC also comes with its original luggage rack, exhaust tips, steering wheel and rubber pedal covers. Currently in great running, driving, and cosmetic condition, the car is located in Lancaster County, VA, and will be sold with Maine Bill of Sale (car still registered in Maine, where the owners of 30 years have occasionally kept the car during summer months.) Thank you and please don't hesitate to reach out for more information. I have plenty of photos, video, and copies of documentation. Cheers, Jeremy.
