There is nothing quite like a Porsche 356 Registry Holiday. While it's always exciting to see one 356 on the street, imagine hundreds of these cars and their owners gathered together for a long weekend. Throw in a scenic, interesting and historic venue, lots of activities including tours, a car show, autocross, tech sessions, a swap meet plus social and dining, and you have a dream-come-true for the 356 enthusiast. Twice each year, a large group of  Porsche 356s of all kinds arrive with their owners at an interesting resort or hotel for several days of a Holiday, always tailored to the location. There are tours through Amish country and a vintage train ride in Pennsylvania; dinner on the hanger deck of an aircraft carrier in Charleston harbor; lunch overlooking the Pacific in San Diego; cocktails as the sun sets on the red rocks of Sedona.

Our East Coast and West Coast Holidays are the highlights of summer for Registry members. At each event, cars with fresh restorations are proudly unveiled, while original survivors are admired and members who have driven cross-country to take part are acknowledged. The parking lot at a Holiday is one big continuing "seminar" of informal exchanges and spontaneous tech sessions. Along with the many organized events and opportunity to meet other owners, there is no better place to see, learn about and appreciate the Porsche 356 than at a Holiday.

At a recent Holiday over two hundred 356s of every type -- from the oldest surviving 1948 Gmund Coupe to a 904, one of the last 356-era racers -- were on display on a sunny country club green, as lunch was served and attendees cast their votes for "people's choice". The number and makeup of cars and attendees constantly changes, with each event being a fresh mix of "newbies" and "old hands", who delight in sharing their knowledge.

Porsche 356 Registry is grateful to have the support of local Porsche dealers, PCNA and Porsche AG, whose Club Services representatives are welcome ambassadors from the Porsche Factory. Famous race drivers from the 356 era and other automotive celebrities are often in attendance, providing a fascinating view of "how it was" when the cars were new. 356 technicians demonstrate "how it is" with the latest products and techniques for keeping our cars on the road. All together, the people and cars at a Holiday provide a jolt of enthusiasm that lasts an entire year - until the next Holiday.
