Major milestone - first test drive.
Posted it on YouTube at:

Question:
I tried to insert my spare tire into the trunk. We apparently welded the brackets for the jack in the wrong location - the spare will not go past the brackets.
Can anybody provide me with some measurements and/or pictures showing the correct location of the jack brackets?

Steve, what tire size are you using for a spare? If it's a 195 it may not fit. A 185 is a snug fit.

Here is a naked view. If you can find the pressings in the front wall you should be able to line them up properly. Note they are not equadistant from the center of the car.

I think I see the problem now. My brackets need to be adjusted upwards.
My tires are 165 HR 15.
Thanks

Steve,

I confirm that your brackets are in the wrong place. Mine are welded upwards, I can post some pics tonight

Regards
Luca
