Hi, I am finishing the restoration of my 64 356sc and I am wondering what is the right color of the inside bonnetor trunk lid. Is it the same as the exterior color or a mate black or any other?

Karmann coupes had the center part (inside the stiffening frame) of the hoods undercoated before paint. Don't believe Reutter did this.

Preston is absolutely right, just checked the underside of mine, and the original fine underseal is neatly done inside the reinforcement pressings, then painted over with the exterior colour and sheen.

My chassis number is 215130 (Karmann) can't speak for Reutter though
