Anybody care to guess how much is needed to be done with this car? I've seen that Mark is on the forum so many he will come along and comment :)

You need to have an expert personally inspect the car to answer your question accurately. Otherwise you are taking a big gamble in buying it...

Good luck,

According to the description the motor is apart so while all the piece may be good, it will still be a full re-assembly, so expect that. He mentions wiring, interior, and motor, all serious things but the good news is the body and metal work look to be done so the bottomless pit aspect of the car is taken care of, the wiring, and interior are pretty straight forward, no chances of any big surprises there, the motor can always hold surprises but it sounds like he has checked the components so you should be ok. Price out the work that needs to be done and see if the math works for you. As far as value I'm not sure what cars sell for in the UK, you will have to do some comps on other cars.

That car has been for sale for sometime and I quite like it apart from the seats. It appears to be well done so far but you would really need to look at it in person as mentioned already. I'm sure the seller would have an easier time selling it if he could just finish it although I have no idea on what the market price is for a modified coupe in the UK. Your are certainly right in trying to establish how much work and cost are left and you must allow for the unknowns associated with a disassembled non-running project car (I've brought cars home in boxes and finished them before :) ) The real question is whether or not there is any upside for the buyer after all is said and done.

Thanks I spoke to mark and he was very helpful. I came to about the same conclusions, also thinking about a car that bob campbell has for sale
