Everyone, I have finally gotten an A fuel pump to put on my A Coupe to replace the B pump I put on there on the advice of the Maestro many years ago. I know I kept the original, and stumbled on it now and then, but I'll be darned if I can find it now!

Anyway, now that I've got the "new" one, is there anything special I need to be careful of when I clean it? I do have a rebuild kit I bought from Stoddards. Anything I need to be careful of when I rebuild it and when I remount it?

Thanks!

Wayne Arny

Wayne,

Just follow the directions in the kit and/or especially the shop manual; specifically in pre-loading the diaphram's mechanism so it's flat to the surface before adding the top 1/2 and snugging up the 6-screws. Also, make sure the surfaces are flattened using emory cloth on a flat surface.
