My '63 coupe came home from Panelwerks in Ohio today. The 2133cc engine that I built for it is waiting for 44 IDFs and final dyno tuning and then the car will be finished. I hope to drive the car to the WCH later this year. John Willhoit wants to have a dyno shootout to prove that West Coast power is king. We will see I guess.

Very nice, Cliff. I really like the door garnish and dash top in the contrasting green/grey combo, and the bumper guard/horn grill/trunk lid handle delete combined with the Carrera deco looks great.

Thanks Jim. It's sort of like my old silver car but with more comfort. I didn't do the GT seats, windows, and roll bar on this one. It also has all the sound deadening. The silver car was very loud with the plexi windows and no sound deadening. The GT seats were ok but the comfort seats are better for touring. This car has 16" aluminum wheels which gives more tire choices. The engine has a dead flat torque curve over 150 from 3000-5500rpm which should be very relaxed to drive long distance. I tried to keep the car subtle and thought the interior would be ok since it is a bit like some A cars and early 911s.

Wow Cliff,
That is an absolutely beautiful car! I'd (almost) trade you for my Speedster! The stuff you DIDN'T do is IMHO perfect.
One pet peeve is those really cute headlight grills. I give you two weeks before you put glass back. Water, dirt, pick your poison, those things are stupid!

Hi John,
Thanks, it's Smyrna green. Jim Nelson is restoring his Smyrna green cab and you should check out that thread. It's coming along nicely.

Craig, I had them new in a box and felt that I needed to use them. The car is 12 volt with extra bright sealed beams. I was hoping that the lack of glass would give me the best brightness but maybe the dirt will get me to go back to glass. I actually do like the looks of them.

I LOVE the looks of them. I just hate what they do to the headlight buckets...

The green car is more GS than GT and I built a 1883 for the silver car and the green car gets a 2133 in a slightly milder state of tune.

The wheels are being sold by John Willhoit and he can provide them in various finishes. Mine are a natural satin that are done by some sort of tumbling or some such. They are 5.5" wide but he has them in a few sizes. Not cheap but they are the only 16" I know of. The wheels on the silver car were the 15" NLA magnesium wheels.

Hi Ned,
I don't have a picture of the completed engine but it is a fairly stock S90 look. I wanted to use Solex carbs to look stock but they were too small to make power so it will get Webers. I will take the chrome air cleaners to the powder coaters to make them black. I also change the wing nuts on top to black plastic knobs from the hardware store.

Ron, I do have great taste, the car has a PM oil filter which adds to its beauty.
