I'm a french guy who bought a 356 B T6 1963 N° 212330 coming from california.
Blue bali painted; white race wheels
This car has never been restored and I want to modify a minimum of things; only replace parts to keep the original design and delivery from porsche
The owner from this car was a member of the PCA club in california
.
I'd like to know if someone has pictures of this car or informations about it or from the owner ( name, localisation,.. ).

I think he died recently but as this is a first hand car sold to him, it would be interesting to find the true history of this car till 1963 to now.

Thanks for your help !!!

best regards

Stéphane VINOLO from France

Hi Vinolo,

Can you post some pictures? California is a large state. Are there any identifying documents or stickers that mention a city or region it may have inhabited?

For those who can't read French, I believe Jacques is saying "Unfortunately I do not know this car. It is very pretty."

I don't know it either, and have never seen wheels like that on a 356.

Good luck with your search for information.

Best regards,

Hello,
back with new informations.
The first and only one owner was Georg POEHLMANN who bought it in Porsche car pacific in 1963 ( 1600 van ness av San francisco 9, California )
He seems to have decided to move in colorado in 1986.
55000 Miles ;original Blue bali on the invoice: price 4457.8 dollars for the car !
Many modifications: exhaust pipe, wheels, rebuilt interior and time has done the rest.
Not really rusted .original condition
If somenone has pictures of the car, picture of the owner ( very old member of PCA club ).
Thanks for your help

stéphane

Jackman wheels were popular for the Offroaders in So-Cal they were based in El Cajon Ca http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/ ... id=1086382 they were usually painted white but you could do just about anything you wanted. more wheels

Hello everybody !
After some research, I found original lemmertz wheels in france which correspond to the year of my car.many other pièces are replaced to try to have the original condition

But no news about the first owner.
I discovered that ( I'm not sure ) he lived in colorado springs san nevada avenue 86
Do someone can visit him and show the picture of his car ( picture 1923 )?

It would be nice if he's always alive.

Not really esay from france...

thanks a lot

stephane

You are right and I know that

The first and only one owner cut parts from rear fenders to put bigger wheels many years ago but he kept the cut parts that I have with me !!

Next monday I send my car to the car repair shop to weld these small parts of steel to have the right original look and blue bali painting.

I was disapointed when I saw that !

Time will let me the possibility to have a nice car, I hope.

Stéphane

Vinolo,.

Not to be critical, but I hope the glass is covered when welding. The spatter bits go everywhere and will melt onto the glass and give pitts. Also, on plastic, and everything else that isn't covered or far away. Glad to see the car has gotten a great second owner.
