Vic S. referred to a VW starter fit problem with pre-A bodies. I would like to add that 1959 Drauz/ conv'D bodies need a little ball peen hammer work to make a VW starter motor fit. A similar modification is required to the conv'D body when C model disc brakes are mounted in the 1959 Drauz body so that the rear shock absorbers clear the body.

Also!!!! A roll bar designed for a 1960 Drauz roadster needs to be modified to fit a 1959 conv'D in the area where the floor mounting plates fasten (rear fender well mounting plates are ok).
