In 1958, while working for Newt Davis at The Import Motors in Waterbury CT. I met Harry, who was forming (formed?) Blanchard Motors (later Blanchard-Pray) from the former Morlee Motors. He was racing a Carrera speedster at Lime Rock, the first engine I saw in a Carrera with "V-Drive" distributors. Newt and Harry had made arrangements to meet at the next race, in, I think, Marlboro Md. On about Wednesday or so, I took a call from Harry, saying he would not be making the race, as his engine had failed. I clearly remember him saying "we think we can save the carbs and the sheet metal". The Fuhrmann 4-cam was, and is, a great and reliable engine, but, when they break, bring $$$!
